Recently I’ve come to love anything that’s artsy. Call me inspired if you may but it helps me feel relieved. Plus it also helps me not to always be online or be stagnant on social media. I noticed that it’s been a trend too nowadays so a few months back I decided to start with the colouring books. When I got out of the hospital on July, my parents and I went out on a pass to go shopping when I saw a bunch of adult colouring books are stacked on the bookstore. So I told by dad and mom to let me buy that one just to try it (I’m broke for now because I’m on OSAP). So I took it back to the hospital and started colouring it. It was splendid. I continued to try it until I came home from getting admitted in the hospital.
So that was my first venture into the arts. The next was Free Hand Drawing. I have a lot of free hand drawings already but I’ll just post two because I’m lazy. Haha. But basically, this was inspired by this artist I came across instagram who had drawings that were just kawaii so I tried to draw abstract as well. These are the tools that I usually use for free hand drawings. I like to watercolor and sketch a lot.
Next is Calligraphy. Again this was inspired by someone that I’m following on instagram. Plus I heard that Calligraphy is therapeutic too as opposed to my tumblring days when I was just mindlessly putting some useless stuff in my head. Calligraphy is more interesting because it gives me a sense of control and peace when I write. I like doing the brush calligraphy and modern calligraphy.
There you have it. These are my art hobbies. The upcoming posts will just be the quotes I was writing when I was practicing modern calligraphy using watercolour tubes. I hope you like it.
Btw, follow me on instagram at @bonjourdenise! Thanks. 🙂
